Split/Second (released in Europe as Split/Second: Velocity) is an arcade racing video game. In the game, players take part in a fictional reality television show, consisting of a variety of events, each focusing on destructible environments triggered remotely by driver actions known as "power plays".

Configuration

Options that deviate from RPCS3's default settings and provide the best experience with this title are listed below.

GPU configuration

Anisotropic filter Auto Keep this value on auto, otherwise graphical artifacts will appear.

Advanced configuration

Write depth buffers On Fixes broken explosion effects caused by Force CPU Blit.

Debug configuration

Force CPU blit emulation On Fixes checkerboard visuals, however, breaks explosion effects, and car liveries.

Known Issues

High framerates will cause the game to run faster than its normal speed, even when adjusting vblank frequency.

Noise/Checkerboarding graphics

  • Issue 6399: Large amounts of visual noise/checkerboarding corrupt the graphics in-game
