Resonance of Fate is a role-playing video game developed by tri-Ace and published by Sega for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was released in January 2010 in Japan and March 2010 in Western territories. The game uses a fast-paced strategic combat system revolving around different types of firearms and combination moves between the three playable characters. A remastered version titled Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows on October 18, 2018.

Resonance of Fate takes place on Earth in the distant future. When atmospheric pollution nearly annihilates life on Earth, the remnants of humanity construct a purification system called Basel. In time, the surviving human population create a civilization around Basel's central tower, watched over by its mechanical core Zenith. Zenith ties human lives to quartz stones, making them immune to the pollution while giving them predetermined social status and lifespans. The three protagonists—Zephyr, Leanne, and Vashyron—form a mercenary group that take odd jobs for the populace of Basel. During their missions, they discover a plan by the city's ruling Cardinals to subvert Zenith's rule, and discover their own connections to the Cardinals' plans.

Configuration

No options that deviate from RPCS3's default settings are recommended for this title.

Known Issues

The game freezes after the intro cutscene when you start a new game, making it unplayable without a custom configuration. A workaround has been found for this problem but the performance hit and graphics hit is large.

In CPU -> SPU Decoder, select "Interpreter (Dynamic)". In Advanced - > Core, select "Delay each odd MFC Command".

You will be able to now start a new game but expect FPS to range from 5 to 20, instead of the butter smooth 60 FPS during the Menu and intro Cut Scene with no custom configuration.
